Description
Size: 5ft 7in x 3ft 6in (170 x 106cm).Antique Caucasian Bordjalou Kazak rug of very abstract design, these are the most northerly of the Kazak rugs.
Late 19th century.
The bold design and latch hook medallions is typical of this area.
This is one of the most abstract examples I have seen and is a very pure art form.
The rug is of an irregular shape.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear, with medium-low pile.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
