Description
Size: 7ft 9in x 5ft 2in (235 x 158cm).Antique Caucasian star Kazak rug of rare and unusual design.
Late 19th century.
The rug has a red ground with three, eight pointed star medallions.
The colours are bold and striking; the field is filled with many traditional filler elements.
The borders are of classic Kazak design.
Note the two horses above the top medallion and a person either side of the middle medallion.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear, with medium-low pile.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
