Description
Size: 3ft 0in x 1ft 4in. (91 x 40cm)Antique Tekke Turkmen khorjin (saddle bag) of small size, Southern Turkmenistan.
Circa 1900/20.
Complete khorjin of this quality are quite scarce, this example is in outstanding condition and benefits from a beautifully decorated central panel. Note the numerous small closing loops. The bags are complete with undyed ivory plain weave backs.
Excellent condition with no wear or repairs. There are a few small usage stains to the backs.
This item has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
