Description
Size: 6ft 7in x 4ft 8in (200 x 142cm).A good example of an old North Persian Lilihan village rug from the Greater Hamadan Region.
Circa 1950.
The rug is of the traditional medallion design associated with Lilihan, with the medallion surrounded by floral sprays. This is an unusual white ground example of this type of rug.
The rug has a well-drawn floral design border and very pleasing colour.
The rug is in good condition with no wear and full pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
