Size: 7ft 0in x 3ft 8in (213 x 112cm).Antique Caucasian Karachov Kazak rug of compartment design on a rare green ground.
4th quarter 19th century.
A good example of a Karachov Kazak rug with the traditional compartment design. The rug has 3 rectangular compartments on a sea green field, the colour combinations make this a visually striking rug. Note the many tribal filler items in the field, including animals, a comb and a abstract human form.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
