Description
Size: 5ft 8inx 3ft 5in (172 x 103cm).Antique South West Persian Luri tribal rug of outstanding and unusual design.
Circa 1890.
This rug is an excellent example of Luri tribal weaving, with a column of stars and octagons in the center and repeated on each side. The dark indigo blue field is filled with rosette flower heads and other tribal designs. The borders are classic Luri designs.
The rug has slight wear with good pile, the wool quality and colours are outstanding.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
A superb collectable display item.
