Description
Size: 6ft 6in x 3ft 10in (198 x 117cm).Antique Caucasian Shirvan rug from the Kuba region, linked medallion design on a dark indigo blue ground.
Late 19th century.
A good Kuba Shirvan rug with a linked medallion design, each medallion contains a well drawn shrub. The rug is of fine weave and has a firm handle. The ivory border compliments the rug very well.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. There is some corrosion to the browns as one would expect.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
