Description
Size: 5ft 0in x 3ft 0in (153 x 93cm).Antique Baluch rug with all over boteh design. A rug of desirable small size.
Circa 1880.
A superb Baluch rug with a fine boteh design in madder red on an indigo blue ground. A feature of this rug is the diagonal row of white flowers, this is most unusual. The rug is of fine weave with excellent wool. The rug retains its original flat weave end finishes which are decorated with weft work. The main border is very well drawn .
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
