Description
Size: 7ft 8in x 4ft 11in (234 x 151cm).Antique Persian rug by the Luri tribe, the rug is of tribal design with a Shekarlu border..
Circa 1900.
The abrashed indigo blue field is covered with tribal motifs including many small animals, the ivory ground Shekarlu border contrasts well with the rest of the rug.
Both ends retain the original kilim and weft work checkerboard end finishes.
The carpet is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile.
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
