Description
Size: 9ft 4in x 6ft 9in (285 x 205cm).Old Afghan village carpet with Tekke Turkmen gul design and Beshir type border.
Circa 1920.
The carpet has a rich red ground colour with ivory contrasts in the guls. The boarder is of the Beshir Turkmen type on a soft blue background. The outer border is of a soft orange/brown colour.
The carpet is in excellent condition with very slight even wear with full pile. The carpet is of very fine weave, the ends have been folded under and secured so that there is no fringe.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use.
