Description
Size: 6ft 2in x 4ft 0in (187 x 123cm).Antique South West Persian Tribal Qashqai rug with triple medallion.
Circa 1880.
This is a very fine and well drawn rug, with three hooked medallions on a dark charcoal ground. The rug is covered with a detailed lattice and boteh design. The ivory border with small boteh is beautifully drawn.
The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium pile. The charcoal field is showing some signs of oxidation.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use or is suitable for display as a wall hanging.
