Description
Size: 3ft 7in x 2ft 6in (110 x 77cm).Antique Yomut Turkmen 9 gul chuval of an early date with superb colour.
Early 19th century.
The chuval is very well drawn with 9 large Yomut chuval guls, the minor gul is one of the earliest forms. The ivory ground border design is outstanding. There is a very good light indigo blue used in both the main and minor guls.
Slight wear with medium pile, the chuval retains it un-dyed wool plain weave back.
Hand washed and ready for display.
