Size: 4ft 7in x 1ft 5in (139 x 44cm)Antique Ersari Turkmen torba with scarce floral rosette design.
2nd half 19th century.
This is an interesting torba which belongs to a well documented group of Ersari weavings from the 2nd half of the 19th century. The torba has a floral rosette design on a red/brown field. The simple border design is most unusual.
The torba is in excellent condition with slight wear and good pile, it has a very soft floppy handle.
Hand washed and ready for display.
