Description
Size: 11ft 2in x 7ft 1in (340 x 216cm).Old Red Afghan carpet with traditional Ersari village design, this carpet has superb colour with a very good deep rich red and a dark indigo blue. The carpet has three rows of seven large guls. The carpet retains the original stripped kilims at both ends. Note the small yellow dots carefully placed all over the carpet, this was a very special carpet to the lady who wove it.
Circa 1920.
The carpet is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile, the wool is good and glossy.
The carpet has been hand washed and ready for use or display.
The carpet is suitable for heavy domestic floor use.
