Description
Size: 9ft 0in x 3ft 3in (275 x 100cm).Antique North West Persian Kelardasht runner, of traditional design.
Circa 1920.
This runner was woven by a small community of Karabagh Kurds who settled in the Mazandaran province around 1900. The design with is eleven Moghan medallions on a red field, each medallion containing a star. The border is beautifully drawn with a classic reciprocal Caucasian inner and outer guard.
The runner has slight even wear and good pile.
Hand washed and ready for use or display. The runner is suitable for normal domestic use.
