Old Persian Isfahan carpet, of superb design with small medallion and classic floral design.
Circa 1950.
The carpet is of very fine weave with tight fine pile of lambs wool. The carpet has a velvet like feel.
The carpet has a floral all over design and has amazing detail, it is an excellent example of type. This is a carpet of high quality and would grace any room.
The colours are superb, with an antique ivory gold ground with the design in beautiful clear colours. The rich red border contrasts well with the ivory gold ground.
The carpet is in excellent condition with no wear and full pile.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
