Description
Size: 8ft 5in x 6ft 3in (257 x 190cm).A good antique Afghan village carpet by Ersari Turkmen weavers.
Circa 1900.
The carpet has two rows of four large guls, on a soft orange / red ground. The design in the guls is typical of the Sulayman Ersari from the Andkhoy region of Northern Afghanistan. The carpet is of a hard to find smaller size.
The carpet is in good condition with even wear and good pile.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
