Size: 8ft 8in x 5ft 11in (265 x 180cm).Antique Eastern European or Bessarabian kilim..
About 20-30 years old.
This style of kilim is known as Bessarabian, they were traditionally made in the Russian states of Ukraine and Moldova in the time of the Soviet empire, in more recent times they were also made in Romania.
This example has a very traditional floral design on a soft yellow ground, framed with a floral border on a grey blue ground. Overall the feel is very soft pastel colours, very easy to furnish with.
The kilim is in excellent condition with only very slight wear..
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
