Description
Size: 5ft 9in x 3ft 3in (175 x 100cm).Antique Ersari Beshir Turkmen chuval face with the ikat design.
Circa 1880.
A good example of the well known ikat design with three small central medallions. The ground colour is a warm rose madder with the design in indigo blue, ivory and a soft yellow. The elem panel at the base is a finely drawn Turkmen tree design.
The chuval face is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile. The chuval face has a very soft and floppy handle.
