Description
Size: 2ft 0in x 1ft 7in (61 x 48cm).Antique Shahsavan half Khorjin (half a saddlebag), in soumak weave.
Circa 1880.
This is a very good example of a Shahsavan soumak saddlebag, with pleasing colour and classic design. The bag is a scarce survivor in that it still has its original plain weave back along with the closing lappets and loops at the top.
The bag is in excellent original condition with very slight wear to the face.
The bag has been hand washed and is ready for display. A scarce and highly collectable item.
