Vintage Persian Kashan carpet of traditional small medallion design in a large room size.
Circa 1930.
A very good furnishing Kashan carpet with a traditional small medallion design. The carpet has a medium indigo blue ground covered with floral spray's in soft pastel colours. The border is filled with a floral design similar to that of the main carpet. The central medallion is beautifully drawn with a central star on a very soft pistachio green, this soft green is used throughout the carpet and combined with the ivory and other pastel colours it creates a very fresh and light feel.
The carpet is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and good pile, there are a few very slightly lower spots.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use such as a dining room or a living room.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use.
This is an outstanding furnishing carpet that would grace any room and work well with the finest antique furniture.
