Size: 4ft 6in x 2ft 10in (138x 86cm).Antique Timuri / Baluch camel ground prayer rug with 'tree of life' design.
Circa 1900.
The rug is beautifully drawn and has excellent colour, the camel wool ground is very soft. The rug retains the original end finishes at both ends. The tree of life is very well drawn with a spacious feel, the mihrab and hand placements both contain a 'bird head tree' design. The border design is typical of Timuri work.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight even wear, and good pile.
The rug has been hand washed and ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
