Size: 4ft 9in x 3ft 0in (144 x 91cm).Antique Baluch camel ground prayer rug with tree of life design.
Circa 1920.
The rug originates from the Khorasan region of Eastern Persia, it has an interesting tree of life design with the upper part in the mihrab changing into a bird head design, this can also be seen in the hand placement areas. Also note the inner border of stars. The rug retains its original long kilim end finishes, decorated with bands of weft work.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic floor use.
