Description
Size: 8ft 11in x 5ft 11in (272 x 180cm). Excluding tassels.An outstanding Indian silk carpet with a soft pistachio green ground.
About 30 years old.
The carpet has a large scale design of Persian influence, palmettes linked by a meandering vine. The carpet is framed by a floral border of traditional design. This stunning carpet would grace the finest living room, it would sit well with antique or contemporary furnishings.
The carpet is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile. The rug has been hand washed recently.
Silk pile on a silk foundation.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
Please note: Silk rugs are difficult to photograph due to the light reflecting off the very shiny surface, light areas are not fading, they are just light reflections. The close up images show the truest colours.
