Size: 9ft 4in x 5ft 9in (285 x 174cm).Old Turkmen carpet of traditional Tekke design, the carpet is of a useful small room size and has good wool and a rich colour. These carpets are known as Russian Turkmens as they were originally made for export to wealthy Russians.
Circa 1930.
The carpet has four rows of Tekke guls and multiple borders with sunburst and octagon design.
The carpet is in excellent condition with very slight even wear with good full pile.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use. An excellent decorative furnishing carpet.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use.
