Size: 10ft 0in x 6ft 10in (306 x 207cm).Antique Tekke Turkmen main carpet with four rows of twelve guls.
Circa 1880.
The carpet has a very soft faded madder red ground colour, the design is traditional Tekke Turkmen. The border is of the Turkmen octagon and sunburst design. The carpet has a very faded look, as though it has been on the floor of a country house for the last 100 years.
The carpet is in fair condition with even wear with low pile.
Both ends retain the original large elem panel end finishes.
The carpet is suitable for light domestic use.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use.
