Size: 1ft 8in x 1ft 4in (50 x 40cm) excluding tassels.Antique Uzbek Lakai tribe uut kap ilgich, shield wall hangings for the yurt.
Circa 1920.
Uut kap ilgich are shield shaped hangings that usually formed part of a brides dowry; this example is silk embroidered on red wool cloth.
The condition is excellent. The backing cloth was replaced in 2014 by an Uzbek dealer.
