Size: 2ft 2in x 10in (65 x 25cm).Antique Tekke Turkmen 'kap' or mafrash, small storage bag face.
Circa 1850.
An outstanding example of a Tekke kap, with the three panel tree design. The face is of very fine weave, one of the finest Turkmen weavings that I have ever handled.
The bag is in excellent condition with slight even wear and almost full pile, The kap has a very floppy handle and the feel of velvet.
