Description
Size: 8ft 4in x 6ft 3in (255 x 190cm).Antique Kizyl Ayak Ersari Turkmen rug with the tradition Kizil Ayak turreted gul design; there are two rows of six large guls.
Circa 1900.
The carpet has a warm red ground colour with some indigo blues, ivory and a clear yellow which can be seen in the 'sunburst' design around the edge of the field.
The carpet is in good condition with even wear with medium pile, there are a few scattered old repairs (reflected in the price).
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
