Size: 3ft 11in x 3ft 7in (120 x 110cm).Antique Uzbek red velvet dress with silver metal thread brocade work decoration.
Circa 1890.
This fine dress was made by the Hazara women of the oasis towns of Uzbekistan, this example is thought to originate from Bukhara, where they were highly regarded items.
The condition is excellent with some signs of use and a few historic small stains.
