Size: 9ft 5in x 5ft 8in (286 x 173cm).Antique Tabriz rug with all over Safavid inspired vase carpet design.
Circa 1900.
The rug has a rich red field covered with a 'vase' design with floral palmettes and vines. The dark indigo blue border with a classic Safavid floral design frames the rug well.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile. The rug is of very fine weave with soft wool.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
