Description
Size: 6ft 1in x 3ft 9in (185 x 115cm).Antique Persian Yazd velvet ikat.
Circa 1900.
This Yazd velvet is in a traditional design with two Cypress tree with a pair of birds at the top of each tree. There is a panel at the lower end with an inscription and possibly a date.
The condition is fair with some water damage and colour run, mainly at the ends, the original cotton backing is still attached and is also watermarked and stained. The condition is reflected in the price.
