Size: 2ft 0in x 1ft 8in (62 x 50cm).Antique Ersari Beshir Turkmen 'kap' or small bag complete with original plain weave back.
Circa 1920.
This small Ersari Turkmen bag known as a 'kap' or small bag, was used for keeping personal belongings in, it was usually hung up inside the yurt. This example is of a classic Beshir design, with clear reds and typical Beshir yellow. The bag has been opened at the sides for display.
The bag is in good condition with some signs of use.
