Description
Size: 8ft 0in x 5ft 9in (243 x 175cm).Antique Shekarlu Qashqai rug of classic design.
4th quarter 19th century.
This classic Shekarlu has a field full of tribal motifs, including shrubs, flowers, animals, birds, people and the Shekarlu comb design.
The array of colours is outstanding including yellows and greens. The border is of typical Shekarlu design, both ends have checker board finishes. The rug has a soft floppy handle.
The carpet is in excellent condition with even wear and medium/low pile.
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
