Description
Size:5ft 8in x 3ft 5in (172 x 104cm).Antique Caucasian Kazak rug with compartment design with each containing a hooked medallion, the rug has a superb range of soft pastel colors.
2nd half 19th century.
A very interesting little rug with a sought after design. Note the range of small animals and camels.
The rug contains the early dye ‘Fuchsine’, so it can be dated to the 2nd half of the 19th century.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and low pile.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
