Description
Size: 6ft 1in x 4ft 0in (186 x 122cm).Antique Caucasian rug with the well-known ‘Lesghi’ star design. This rug has five serrated edge stars on an indigo ground.
Circa 1900.
The rug has a very well-drawn ‘leaf-and calyx’ border on an ivory ground.
The rug is also dated 1325 to the top left hand corner, this translates to about 1907.
The rug is an outstanding example of type.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear, with medium pile.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
