Size: 7ft 11in x 5ft 5in (242 x 166cm).Antique Caucasian Kazak village rug of Shirvan design.
Late 19th century.
This is an amazing Kazak rug, woven as a copy of this well-known Shirvan design but with a freedom of expression only found in Kazak village rugs.
The range of colours used is outstanding, especially the green in the border.
This is a unique rug, the like of which I have never seen.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
