Description
Size: 6ft 9in x 4ft 5in (206 x 135cm).Old Afghan Ersari rug of the traditional ‘Ensi’ or door hanging design.
About 60 years old.
The design is of four compartments that some say represent the 4 windows to paradise.
The rug has a firm dense weave with excellent colour, the very glossy wool made the rug very difficult to photograph.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and full pile.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for heavy domestic use.
