Description
Size: 9ft 0in x 5ft 7in (275 x 170cm).A good antique main carpet by the Timuri Baluch of Western Afghanistan. The carpet is of the willow tree and shrub design with a classic Timuri border, also note the long decorated kilim end finishes
1st half 19th century.
The rug has the traditional Timuri dark indigo ground and clear reds with ivory high lights.
The rug is in fair condition with some heavy wear and corrosion, the pile is low.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
