Description
Size: 9ft 7in x 6ft 7in (292 x 201cm).A really beautiful example of a Turkish Kayseri silk carpet in the Hereke style, with a very classical design and a rare pistachio green field with wide ivory border.
About 50 years old.
The carpet is of fine weave and superbly drawn; clearly the work of a master weaver.
The carpet is in excellent condition with very slight wear and full pile. The ends need to be re-fringed, this is included in the price.
Silk pile on a silk foundation.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use and would make a wonderful statement in any room.
