Description
Size: 5ft 3in x 3ft 5in (160 x 105cm).A good example of a Persian Qum silk rug with fine weave and a pleasing floral design.
About 40 years old.
The rug has an clear red field decorated with detailed sprays of carnation flowers, the dark indigo border also has a carnation design.
The rug is in outstanding condition with no wear and full pile. Both ends retain their original finishes, the top end being flat woven as is the tradition.
Silk pile on a silk foundation.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use and is ideal for display as a wall hanging.
