Size: 6ft 7in x 4ft 6in (200 x 138cm).An oustanding and scarce pair of Persian Qum silk rugs of the garden design on an ivory ground.
About 50 years old.
The rug has an ivory field decorated with shrubs and flowers along with many different birds.
The colour palette is very soft, with pinks, blues, yellows and very soft reds.
The rug is in outstanding condition with no wear and full pile. Both ends retain their original finishes.
Silk pile on a silk foundation.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use and is ideal for display as a wall hanging.
