Description
Size: 8ft 2in x 8ft 1in (250 x 248cm).A really beautiful example of a silk rug in the Turkish Hereke style, with a very classical medallion design.
About 50 years old.
The rug is of fine weave and superbly drawn; clearly a rug of very high quality. The colour palette is very soft and changes as you move around the rug with the light reflecting off the pile in different ways, the carpet shimmers in all lights.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and full pile.
Silk pile on a silk foundation.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use and would make a wonderful statement in any room.
