Size: 5ft 4in x 3ft 5in (162 x 103cm).Antique Baluch rug from Western Afghanistan / Eastern Persia. A Baluch rug with outstanding colour with a superb large scale boat border.
Circa 1870.
A superb Baluch rug with a diamond lattice design to the narrow field .
surrounded by the large boat border. The colours are excellent with soft madder red, deep aubergine, several blues, ivory and black.
The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium pile. The rug has very good wool and also retains the original kilim at the top end, this has weft work decoration.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
