Description
Size: 9ft 2in x 7ft 6in (280 x 229cm).Antique Tekke Turkmen main carpet with 5 rows of 14 guls.
Circa 1880.
The carpet has a superb deep red ground colour which contrasts very well with the border. The guls are well drawn and round in shape. The border is a traditional Turkmen octagon design with many interesting elements.
The carpet is in excellent condition with slight even wear with good pile.
Both ends retain the original large elem panel end finishes.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use.
