Size: 5ft 11in x 2ft 11in (185 x 89cm).Antique Baluch rug from Western Afghanistan, probably Timuri tribe.
Circa 1880.
A superb Baluch rug with a fine diamond lattice design, the bright indigo blue diagonal lattice is really outstanding. The rug has a scarce border design on a charcoal coloured background.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight wear and good pile. The rug has very good wool and also retains the original long kilims at both ends, these have weft work decoration.
A very good collectable Baluch rug.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
