Description
Size: 5ft 7in x 4ft 1in (170 x 125cm).Antique Tekke Turkmen ‘dip khali’ rug of small size with a deep red field colour.
Circa 1900/20.
These are considered to be ‘half size’ rugs; half the length and half the width of a main carpet.
This example has 3 rows of 10 Tekke guls with deep crimson colour to the centers and a burnt orange to the outer part. The orange colour is also found at the top end of the rug in the borders.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
