Description
Antique Anatolian Kirsehir village yastik (small rug).Size: 2ft 7in x 1ft 9in (79 x 53cm).
late 19th century.
These small rugs were often the faces of large cushions or for sitting on.
The yastik has an excellent colour range with a green central medallion containing an oil or water ewer.
Attractive star border with eight pointed stars, the end lappets contain a flower or shrub design.
Good original condition, even wear and medium pile.
