Description
Size: 5ft 5in x 3ft 4in (164 x 102cm).Antique Baluch rug from Western Afghanistan / Eastern Persia. A Baluch rug with outstanding colour and beautiful birds.
Circa 1890.
A superb Baluch rug with a diamond lattice design to the field, each diamond contains a bird or a large flower. The border is of a classic Baluch design. The colours are excellent with a good madder red and an abrashed indigo blue field.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile. The rug has very good wool and also retains the original kilim at both ends, the lower end also has weft work decoration.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
