Size: 10ft 0in x 5ft 5in (304 x 164cm).Antique Baluch main carpet with classic Mushwani design.
Circa 1900.
A good small size main carpet with unusual camel colour, the border design is also of interest. The main field design is the classic Mushwani latch hook design in indigo blue. The carpet retains the original short kilims at both ends. Note the unusual design in white in each corner of the field.
Slight even wear, heavier in places with medium pile. The wool is very soft and glossy, this is typical for Mushwani weavings.
Hand washed and ready for use or display. The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
